Which is why we’re inviting you to join us in Santa Barbara, California this November 1st & 2nd for our first ever weekend-long Murderino gathering that we’ve dubbed MY FAVORITE WEEKEND! Each day will be packed with everything from exclusive merch gifts, to an opening cocktail reception where you can mingle with fellow Murderinos, to special guest appearances from some of our Exactly Right friends like Jensen & Holes from The Murder Squad, and Steven & Sara from The Purrrcast, and of course, MFM LIVE SHOWS! Plus a whole lot of other fun surprises we can’t tell you about yet. It’ll be a great time, trust us. You can choose to stay for two nights, three nights, or really milk those sick days you’ve been saving up at work and stay for four nights at one of our partnering hotels. We’ll provide all of the transportation between the hotels and event venues (for those not staying within a short walking distance), so don’t even sweat that. The Venue & Location

The Arlington Theatre
1317 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Our host venue, the historic Arlington Theatre, was built in 1931 and is the largest performing arts venue in Santa Barbara, California. The Arlington was designed in the Mission Revival during a period when Santa Barbara was being rebuilt following a powerful earthquake in 1925. The theatre’s atmospheric interior is elaborately decorated, with faux-Spanish villas and a ceiling filled with twinkling stars. We look forward to welcoming you to the Arlington in November!

 

Santa Barbara

Situated on a south-facing section of California’s famed coastline, Santa Barbara lies between the steeply rising Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Santa Barbara’s climate is often described as Mediterranean, and the city has been promoted as the “American Riviera”. In addition to being a popular tourist and resort destination, the city also has its fair share of local true crime lore, making it the perfect destination for our inaugural weekend together in California.

California’s Santa Barbara County owes its success with cool climate wines (notable Chardonnay, Syrah and Pinot Noir) to a geological oddity: coastal valleys that run east-west and serve as superhighways for chilly ocean air. Retail & Wellness Activities

In addition to on-site fitness centers and beach access at a majority of our hand-selected hotels, there are a number of wellness activities, including: spa services, massages, salons, hydrotherapy and more. If you’re looking for retail therapy, the historic State Street Plaza in downtown Santa Barbara is one of America’s most pedestrian-friendly spaces, with shop-lined streets featuring specialty storefronts to national brands, and regional gallery favorites to indie boutiques.

Q: Is My Favorite Weekend accessible to those with disabilities?

Q: Where will My Favorite Weekend take place?
A: My Favorite Weekend will primarily take place at the Arlington Theater, located at 1317 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. The Welcome Cocktail Reception and other activities will take place at a location to be announced closer to show. Please check back for more details.

Q: When is My Favorite Weekend?
A: The festivities will take place on Friday 11/1/19 and Saturday 11/2/19. However, hotel packages are offered for 2, 3, or 4 nights. Please view the packages for specific check-in and check-out dates.

Q: When will packages go on sale?
A: A special pre-sale for Fan Cult Members will begin on Tuesday, May 21st @ 10 AM PT, with packages going on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 23rd @ 10 AM PT.

Q: Can I purchase tickets to the minisode and full episode tapings without purchasing a hotel package?
A: There will be a very limited amount of full weekend passes available for purchase for those looking to enjoy the shows without purchasing hotel packages.

Q: Does My Favorite Weekend have a minimum age to attend the event?
A:No, this is an all-ages event. Children under the age of 2 can enter at no cost. All event attendees under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Local liquor laws apply for all alcohol elements of the event , no one under the age 21 will be allowed to drink alcohol.

*Note: Please see below for Travel Package age restrictions.

Q: Do the Travel Packages have a minimum age?
A: Yes. Purchasers must be at least 18 years old to purchase and check into any of our partner hotels. Guests under the age of 18 may still occupy a room; however, the person whose name is booked for the reservation must be of the age required for hotel check-in. Please be sure to bring valid photo identification and a working credit card for hotel incidentals (it doesn’t need to be the same credit card that was used during the purchase process).

Q: Is airfare included in the package pricing?
A: No, airfare and ground transportation to/from the airport will need to be booked on your own if needed. Each My Favorite Weekend package includes transportation between your hotel and the Arlington Theatre*.

*The Kimpton Canary, The Upham Hotel and The Hotel Santa Barbara packages do not include this transportation because these properties are within walking distance to the Arlington Theatre. Get your steps in!

Q: Can I bring a camera?
A: Yes. Standard point and shoot cameras are allowed. However, professional cameras – any with a detachable lense – are not allowed. If you’re a member of the media and wish to attend the event, please reach out to press@cidpresents.com for more information.

Q: Will there be food and beverage options available for sale at the Arlington Theatre?
A: Yes, the Arlington Theatre has a variety of food, beverage and alcoholic beverage options available for purchase.

Q: Do you have a full list of items I can / can’t bring to My Favorite Weekend?
A: Yes! Please refer to the prohibited items list beneath the FAQs!


PACKAGE FAQs

Q: Will I need to pay in full for my package at the time of purchase, or is there a payment plan?
A: At the time of purchase, you will be able to choose between paying in full or taking advantage of our payment plan (hotel packages only). If you opt for the payment plan, you will pay 50% of the package price upon purchase*, and will then be automatically charged 25% on July 1st and 25% on August 1st to the card on file with your order.*Please note: There will be a one-time $25 payment plan processing fee added to the initial down payment for your package. Ticket-only purchases must be paid in full at time of purchase.

Q: Can I pay for this package using multiple credit cards?
A: During the initial purchase, you will only be able to use one credit card. If you opted for the payment plan and need to change your credit card to make the next payment, you may do so by manually making the next payment through your ticketing account (check back here for a link after the on-sale). Please note: the card charged for the previous payment for the payment plan will be automatically charged for any proceeding charges, unless the billing information is changed via the procedure above. If you leave the same credit card on file throughout the payment plan, that card will be automatically charged for each payment and no action will be needed on your end.

Q: Are there fees charged in addition to the listed package prices?
A: There is a $3.50 per PERSON facility fee added on to each ticket and/or travel package. There will also be ticketing fees in addition to the listed prices for tickets only (not travel packages).
Note: For those who opt into the payment plan, there will be a one-time $25 payment plan processing fee added to the initial down payment.

Q: I’m purchasing this package as a gift for someone. Is that allowed?
A: If you wish to purchase a My Favorite Weekend package as a gift for someone else, you MUST enter the recipient’s name into the “Will Call/Pick-Up” fields on the billing info page during the purchase process.

Q: When do I find out my exact seat location?
A: Seat locations will be displayed during the purchase process.

Q: How many rooms are included in the four-person package?
A: Each package includes ONE room at your chosen hotel. If you purchase a package for four, the package includes ONE room with TWO beds.

Q: Can I purchase additional nights at my hotel before or after the nights included with my package?
A: 2-night hotel packages will offer the option to add on additional nights during the purchase process, pending availability.

If you purchase a 3-night or 4-night hotel package and wish to extend your stay, you will need to book those nights directly with the hotel. Please note, the front desk will most likely not have your travel package reservation information yet. Once you’ve booked the additional night(s), please reach out to us at info@cidpresents.com with your reservation information and we’d be happy to submit a request to the hotel to link the reservations. While the hotel will always do their best to accommodate, there is a small chance you may have to switch rooms as all additional night requests are based on hotel availability.

Q: Will I need to provide my party’s guest and travel information during the purchase process?
A: During the purchase process, you will only need to provide the lead guest’s name via the “Will Call/Pick-Up” field. The lead guest will be responsible for checking in for the entire package and is welcome to bring whomever they want as their guest(s).

Q: What if I change my mind and don’t want my ticket or hotel package?
A: All tickets and hotel packages are non-refundable. Please refer to the Purchase Policy for complete details.

Q: Where will I receive my ticket(s) and merchandise?
A: All event tickets will be print-at-home for both ticket and hotel packages. For hotel package purchasers, we will have a check-in location set up at each hotel for merchandise pickup. Ticket-only purchasers will receive an email closer to the event with instructions to pick up their merchandise.

Approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the event, all purchasers will receive an informational email with all the event details, including specific times and locations.

Q: If I’m unable to make it to check-in, how can I receive my merchandise?
A: Your merchandise gift must be redeemed on-site at our check-in. We are unable to ship out any merchandise post-event.

Q: Is parking included at each hotel?
A: Parking Policies and fees vary by hotel. Please check your chosen hotel’s website for more information.

Q: I have friends who are also booking packages. Can I make a room proximity request to be located near them at our hotel?
A: Yes, of course. If you would like to have your room in close proximity to another party’s room, please be sure to book at the same hotel and contact our Guest Services team to submit your request. Although we will do our best to accommodate, all proximity requests are subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please note: all rooming requests, including those involving proximity, must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the event.

Q: The lead guest on the order is arriving later than other guests in our party. Will this be an issue?
A: The package-holder will be responsible for picking up everyone’s credentials and merchandise at check-in and will have to distribute to the other guests in the party. If someone other than the package-holder will be arriving first and wishes to check in, please have the package-holder reach out to info@cidpresents.com in advance and we’d be happy to let you know of any options available.

Q: Can we check in early at the hotel? I want to explore Santa Barbara!
A: Standard hotel check-in times apply across all of our hotels. Room check-in is often not guaranteed until 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM. If you arrive before your room is available, the hotel will gladly store your luggage while your room is being prepared.
